How it works
DryWrite does not guess whether text was written by an AI. It shows hidden additives and removes them so the copy you keep is yours.

Every watermark carrier, invisible character, lookalike, and mixed-script word is flagged with its code point.

Decode
Unicode tags, zero-width bitstreams, and variation-selector nibbles are recovered as readable payloads — not just counted.

What this engine catches that most cleaners miss
- Unicode tag prompt-injection (U+E0020–U+E007F) with live ASCII decode
- StegZero V2 / binary and 330k zero-width alphabets
- Mixed-script words (Cyrillic / Greek / Cherokee inside Latin)
- Variation selectors after ASCII, VS17–256, Mongolian FVS4
- Tifinagh joiner, Khitan filler, noncharacters, unpaired surrogates
- SNOW trailing-space stego, HTML/JS/URL invisible escapes
- Two-pass clean after NFC so combining marks cannot hide
- Nuclear NFKC fold of fullwidth, circled, and compatibility forms
- Risk score from density, regularity, decoded payloads, and scripts
DryWrite is a forensic cleaner, not an “AI detector.” Statistical model watermarks (SynthID-style) are out of scope on purpose.
